In the year the artist was born, catastrophic flooding in China forced her entire family to relocate. “Flooding into the Shelter of Narrative” juxtaposes two ways the artist approaches this event—internet archives and the oral history told by her mother—to examine what is lost and what remains across these fundamentally different forms of narration.
